Toothbeary

ToothbearyHow we wish that there were places like Toothbeary when we were children! This dental surgery will not only keep your children smiling, but they will also love going there. It is a child-only practice which is welcoming and fun, making sure that visits to the dentist are seen as a positive experience.

ToothbearyThe child-friendly experience starts from the moment you check-in. The waiting room is more like a playroom, full of toys and books, seating and mats, from where you will be greeted by one of the friendly hygienists. The hygienist will teach your child about tooth-brushing and its importance, but in a relaxed setup made to look like a real bathroom like you might have at home. From there, your child won’t see any scary dentist chairs but will instead be taken through to a bench to lie on, where they can even watch the telly. After your child’s teeth have been cleaned, the dentist will take over. Your child by now will be totally relaxed and may even be led to believe that the dentist is simply ‘counting’ their teeth.

ToothbearyWhilst the focus is on preventative measures, should any further treatment be required, it will be as gentle, effective and stress-free as possible. The equipment used at Toothbeary is state-of-the-art, and the child’s experience is always of primary importance – for example, quiet air-powered drills are used instead of the scary noisy ones. Toothbeary also offers a comprehensive range of orthodontic dentistry for the prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities.

Toothbeary can be found at 358A Richmond Road, East Twickenham TW1 2DU – you go through a gate and down a little path as the clinic itself is behind the main parade of shops. It is open 10.00am-5.30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday & Fridays, and 8.00am-4.00pm on Thursdays. Booking well in advance for after-school appointments is advisable – their phone number is 020 8831 6870.
