The Barnes Village Nursery

You’ll find The Barnes Village Nursery by the side of the Methodist Church just by the duck pond on Station Road. It has been registered for over 30 years, and with Barnes being such a hot spot for mums, it’s going stronger than ever. In November 2016, it also achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating by Ofsted.

One hall and two smaller rooms make up the nursery space, while the nursery groups are split into two older and two younger groups (from 2 to 5 years old), each with its own dedicated space. This makes it much easier to provide all ages with the right level of fun and (don’t tell the kids) learning. Cookery, sand-play, craft sessions and art are all part and parcel of the learning activities on offer at The Village Nursery – and because the children get taught about personal hygiene, you can rest assured that while they may be covered in the aftermath of their sand, craft and cookery sessions, at least their hands will be clean.

There are regular outdoor playtimes in the secure play area where children can take the air and do some laps on one of the available bikes. Meanwhile, a climbing frame caters to all of the children’s swinging, sliding and crawling needs. There are also regular indoor activities that involve using up some energy, and extra-curricular sessions such as football.

This friendly, warm nursery is run by Julia Robinson and, along with all the staff, you can be sure that both you and your little one will get an enthusiastic welcome when you arrive. The nursery is open from Monday to Friday during term-time, with core sessions running from 9.10am-12.45pm. There Is also an early bird club from 8.00am and a lunch club where children stay until 2.30pm. The nursery offers families the option of attending three, four or five morning sessions a week according to what suits them best.

The Barnes Village Nursery can be found at 3A Station Road (by the duck pond), Barnes SW13 0LP. They can be contacted by calling 020 8878 5111 or emailing info@thebarnesvillagenursery.com.
