Baby Sensory Richmond

Baby SensoryBaby Sensory is the award-winning baby programme designed to stimulate, educate and provide precious memories during the all-important first year of life. Launched in 2006, it was the first programme of its kind to provide a complete approach to learning and development from birth to 13 months. It promises babies and carers a magical world of sensory learning, wonder, exploration, and extraordinary delights!

Baby Sensory RichmondBaby Sensory’s founder, Dr Lin Day, is one of the UK’s leading parenting experts and a renowned author within the fields of sensory and childhood development. Everything Baby Sensory does is backed by over 35 years of expert research. Each activity is carefully designed to stimulate babies’ senses and move learning and development forwards, and behind each session there’s an incredibly detailed lesson plan backing up everything that babies and carers see, hear and do. There are Baby Sensory classes for babies from 0-6 months and from 7-13 months. Some classes also have a mix of ages, so include all babies from 0-13 months.

Baby Sensory RichmondBaby Sensory classes provide ideas for play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, hand-eye coordination and music in simple practical ways that can easily be repeated at home. They also use songs and rhymes to develop early communication skills, including their ‘Say Hello to the Sun’ song, which is played at the beginning of each Baby Sensory class, and which babies soon be signing along to! Each session is different, but also structured to follow the natural rest-play-rest cycle of babies to provide comfort and security, and avoid over or under-stimulation.
