The Elephant StampAll of the collections have a story to tell, including Delhi-based Safomasi who brings their Indian travel adventures to life with their tropical-inspired cushions featuring coconut pickers climbing palm trees, houseboats meandering down Kerala’s backwaters whilst birds soar overhead, and ornately dressed camels accompanied by their traders ready to be sold at the colourful and magical Pushkar Camel Fair.

The Elephant StampFor those looking for nautical prints, their Salcombe collection add a touch of fun to a city abode or coastal home with the cushions and table linen featuring English seaside scenes and racing yachts. All of their illustrations are hand-screened printed and then hand-stitched by local artisans in their studio.

The Elephant StampAnother maker is Roos Soetekouw, an upcoming Dutch designer named by Elle Décor as one to watch. Her luxurious throws and cushions’ marbling design is inspired by shapes and patterns found in everyday objects. With a fashion background, she understands how to blend different fabrics to create textured textiles, complemented with a vibrant fringe.

The Elephant StampHannah, The Elephant Stamp’s owner, has also partnered with social enterprises in Mexico and Swaziland. The Otomi pom pom cushions are handmade by ladies living in the Hidalgo region with these textiles taking weeks to make. The traditional Mexican design is first drawn on before being hand embroidered and finished off with the contemporary pom pom edging, all individually sewn on.

The Elephant StampIn Swaziland, she works with Rosecraft Weaving whose nautical cotton and bamboo throws are all hand woven by local ladies. By buying directly from them at fair trade prices, it allows them to continue their craft and support their families many years to come.

The Elephant Stamp is perfect for those looking for a fresh injection of colour into their home and on the hunt for a unique homeware gift.
