The Boathouse Cafe

The Boathouse CafeThe Boathouse Cafe opened in 2018 as a breath of fresh air to Barnes High Street. With a light and airy feel, decorated in Cornish blue and white and with a nautical theme as a nod to its proximity to the river, it’s a lovely place to grab a coffee, cake or lunch. They’re very welcoming to families too, with lots on the menu that will appeal to kids.

The Boathouse CafeFor breakfast there’s porridge, granola, pastries, eggs every way you can imagine, as well as the good old full English (or part English if preferred!). For lunch you’re spoilt for choice with a selection of omelettes, salads, jacket potatoes, panini and sandwiches… and at any time of day you can treat yourself or the kids to some yummy pancakes or cakes.

The Boathouse CafeAll in all, The Boathouse Cafe is a very welcome addition to the Barnes cafe scene. They’re also proud of their independent status and offer a great service with a personal touch. Dogs are also welcome, which is great news for our four-legged friends, and if you’re grabbing a take-out instead of drinking in, they’re doing their bit for the environment by only using 100% compostable cups.

The Boathouse CafeThe Boathouse Cafe can be found at 4 High Street, Barnes SW13 9LB. They’re open every day from 8.00am-5.00pm (from 8.30am at weekends), and can be contacted by emailing theboathousebarnes@gmail.com.
