Mortlake Hall Playgroup

Mortlake Hall Playgroup is an excellent play centre for children and their family or carers. A few years ago it underwent a total makeover thanks to the Prince’s Trust… old benches and gates were re-painted giving them a new colourful lease of life, the sandpits were refilled and the playground was given a brand new hop-scotch grid. The walls came alive with vibrant designs and entertaining characters, and the dolls houses were stencilled and painted afresh. There are three large rooms, a playground, a huge sandpit, a big red slide and lots of toys!

You can just drop in at the playgroup any time between 9.30am-12.00pm Monday to Friday. The sessions are for children under five and their carers or family. The playgroup costs £4.00 for the first child (£2.50 if under 1yr), and £1.00 per child thereafter. There is a concessionary rate of £1.50.

Activities include train tracks, dressing up, painting, puzzles, a baby area, playdough, home corner, cars, books, and dinosaurs. Children are free to play where they want, for as long or short a time as they like. There’s also lots of space outdoors with a soft playground surface which is ideal for toddlers. Meanwhile, you can nip to the kitchen and make yourself a cup of coffee or tea, and catch up with some other parents and carers.

Mortlake Hall Playgroup can be found at 30 Mullins Path, Mortlake SW14 8EZ. It is open weekdays from 9.30am-12.00pm (excluding August and bank holidays). It can be contacted on 020 8878 8780.
