If you fancy enjoying some fresh air this winter and ice skating in a fabulous location, then have a read about the rink at Hampton Court Palace. Not only will you be able to enjoy skating in beautiful surroundings, but you’ll also be able to warm up and refuel afterwards with some festive food and drink.

This year there is a bigger rink to enjoy, early morning weekend skate sessions, plus a new food offering with the addition of a kid’s menu. The outdoor ice rink at Hampton Court Palace offers spectacular views of the red brick Tudor front of King Henry VIII’s magnificent palace, on the banks of the historic river Thames. If you go in the evening, you’ll also be able to see the stunning palace lit up after dark while you skate under the evening stars. Penguin skating aids are available for children, but will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The Ice Rink Cafe & Bar is brought to you by The Pie Man of Chelsea Green who opened way back in 1984. They will be serving a selection of delicious drinks and simple seasonal food including homemade sausage rolls, party pies, the famous Pie Man’s sausages, tasty vegetarian options and homemade cakes. For little skaters the children’s menu includes chicken drumsticks, chips, sausage baguettes and sweet treats. Tickets cost between £10.00 to £14.00 per person, and a family ticket costs £40.00.
